Default Loosing gas caps

I have an aftermarket tank that has the pre 82 style gas cap and have lost 2 caps in the last few weeks. Anyone have issues like this or have a fix? Is it possible the tank filler tube is screwed and I can't see it?

When you say "lost" just what do you mean? They fell off while riding or what?

The second one was brand new. Im thinking doubling up gaskets? Duct tape could work haha. I used a rubber glove and zip tie to get me home the first time.

Sometimes (if the gaskets don't work) all you have to do is take a cold chisel and cut some knicks into the threads of the cap/filler tube.
