Hey Boss, if you decide to ride let me know. I have an uncomfrotable couch you can sleep on and a garage you can stash the bike in. And depending on when you are rolling through my area, dinner is on me depending on what you feel like eating. Just remember that I have a 4 year old daughter and a semi-paranoid wife. But other than that all is good. Give me a heads up when you are rolling through.

Probably doesn't help but if you needed a place to stay southwest of Philly you'd be more than welcome.

Awesome, thanks, guys! Both of you will definitely know when/if I can nail down a plan. I still owe you a beer or two, Kev. I haven't forgotten that!

I have a place to crash in Detroit metro area if it helps. My two cents... get a good road trip in before you get married. Life and things can change in a hurry. Opportunity knocks, you will remember the nice old lady that sat next to you on the plane for a week. You will remember the road trip across America for a lifetime.

This is coming up quickly. Still looks like I'll be able to do it. Need to change my fluids soon. Looking for ways to cut costs, which means most of the trip will be super slab. My butt's already glad I have a Mustang seat for this trip!

Still trying to plan how to manage housing costs once I'm in Philly. I need to be at the Loews at 9am on Monday the 28th. Other than that, my schedule is open (unless I feel compelled to catch a few paper sessions here and there).

I will be up in Reading which is North West of Philly everyday beginning on Saturday May 26th to help set up for an airshow the following weekend. I may be around one day over Memorial Day weekend and if not perhaps a few nights. Would like to grab a beer if we can work out the logistics. Won't likely know until a few days before hand.

One thought, you may find cheaper hotels outside the city. If you do, you can take the train into town which will cost about $10 round trip. Philly has a decent train system if your commute is to or from the city. Not sure exactly where the Loews is but it is within a few blocks of either Market East or Suburban station which are in the heart of the city. If you stay near me in Horsham/Willow Grove you can get a room for about $60-70 and its an area where your bike should be fine. I am sure some of the other suburbs are in the same range as well and are equally ok for the bike.

Awesome. KC is a good place to stop, so I may take you up on that. Depending on the time of day and the weather, it will mostly likely be a meal break.

Would be great to meet up, Chris. I was considering staying outside the city, and I may still. It just depends on how much of the conference I plan to attend...I don't really want to pay multiple train fares if I can help it. I'm not against riding into town, either, as I did that when I traveled to Seattle (stayed with friends ~20 miles out of downtown and rode into downtown three days in a row).
