Default Whittlebeast Hybrid Shock Build

This is a thread to document the Whittlebeast Hybrid Shock build.

I had wanted to make the hybrid shocks, and had searched for some build threads, but I hadn't found any that showed clear pictures, so I decided to document my attempt for those less adventurous than I.

I couldn't get a shock tool, so I decided to use band clamps.

Look! I probably should have loosened the adjusters

Tightening up.

This position will end up being too close together. I will have to move the clamps farther apart to be able to release the pressure on the top clip.

Checking the length. The C shock is on the left and the R shock is on the right.

Spacer cut.

Spacer inside what will be lower cover.

Shock going back together.

Here I caught the plunger of the shock on the clamps as I was reassembling and had thought I had to rework the clamp, because I was not getting enough spring compression to clear the eye. I finally saw what I had done and slipped the shock back together.

Shock complete.
