Default custom/chopper parts ideas

Well the 77 xlh has become a complete rebuild after finding out that i have pretty sever blow by amongst other issues. the motor is going to mike wells motor works who seems to be well known ( i dont know if you guys have ever heard of him) now im going to have the frame sand blasted and have my tank and fenders painted. motors out of the bike and now im lookin for cool ideas to make this bike pretty neat. so first question is anyone know the best place to get 6 inch fork extensions? how about preferences on 16 inch wheel in the rear? any ideas would be great and definately appreciated

three things to remember building a bike-

#1- have the concept in mind from the beginning. Draw it out.

#2- remember that the whole bike is a machine, and that changing 1 thing, might mean having to change mutliple things. for example on the 16 in rear- will frame, fender clearances change, etc? I don't have a clue, but its something to find out before buying.

#3 when installing custom parts, remember there is a reason they are called "custom.

Six inch fork extensions on a stock frame will give you a flopper, not a chopper.
Go with four inches if you want it to still handle any good on tighter turns etc.

Google Forking by Frank or Frank's Engineering for the big name in fork legs.

Put a 16 and a 21 and a 6" over front end on a Sporty. Drag bars. Now tell the guy "just run up the street here then do a u-turn and come back."

(Unless he's HA .... I've seen old-time HA do crap on thirty foot long seventy-fours that isn't possible. I swear those guys were Mongols, kept raw meat under the saddle and rode the things day and night.)
