Wow, could have been much, much worse. You just never know what's going to happen and even with planning things still go wrong. Like my father used to say "life is what happens while you're making plans". Maybe tomorrow will be better.

The first think I was taught by my carman, while I was in apprentiship, was to use wood between the jack and railroad car; some weight over 200 tons. Rubber is to slippery for holding under a jack. Even carboard is better than rubber he told me. The wood act as leveling agent, a part protector and an antislip.

I can almost laugh at some of this now but the first thought that came to me was what happened to my new bike. I was extemly lucky that I was not hurt worse or that I was actually able to get out from under a 500lb bike. My garage is not visible from any road and my phone was on my tool box.
I imagine I looked like a squished frog under a tire.
The problem with bikes and people; they both usually cost money to fix.

Glad you are here to joke about it.
Did you get any blood on the paint?

Not on the paint, but an xray today shows two cracked ribs. The codine I am taking for the kidney rocks helps mask those two suckers. Just can't drive or do anything when i'm on it.

Damn right there should be some kind of metal for this U know you get the tear drop tat for a lost Bro some say it's for TCB but with the ones I rode with it was lost Bro's.
I like the old saying accidents don't just happen they are caused. Then again when a limb falls from a tree in front of you and you have no other choice but to go over it.I don't know about that cause.

A paradox that i will, have to question the man about... at my time.
Why is it when we a young and dumb our bodies can handle a 105 howitzer to the face and when we get smart and crafty, if we stub our toe it takes 2 weeks to recover.
It really isn't fair.

Hey FF, glad neither you nor your bike suffered any fatal wounds. Thanks for posting. It confirms my belief that the older we get, the less we can take for granted. Assume nothing. Trust nothing & no one & verify whenever possible.
