Two things...
Shu, if you find the stock Custom bars are too low I can offer up my Sportster "Sport" bars, they are similar, but with about an extra inch of rise and pullback.
Second... if any of you guys still have your stock take-off Custom bars after Shu gets set up, I'd be more than happy with some too. I'm running drag bars now, and they are giving me pain in my back and wrist. I tried the sport bars mentioned above, and they had too much pullback for me with my stock "C" riser. I gave away my stock bars to someone on the forum last winter before I was able to put many miles on the drag bars... oops.

Put your hands where you want them and buy the bars that put them there.

Since he asked first, Shu gets the nod, but you're welcome to mine if he takes Diesel's.

I had the wife check the parts pile. I don't have the bars anymore. I forgot those were on the bike when went down, I have about 1/2 set of useable bar, the one side is bent. Sorry Shu, I got some drags in good shape, but I don't think those will help you.
I apologize. but I wonder, why are the bent bars still in my parts pile? Time to go through it.

Diesel, Thanks for checking and your offer was very generous.
I have a parts pile (actually several of those huge storage tubs) in my basement that I really need to go through and then keep an eye on here to "pay forward" some of it too.

Lux, I do still need bars. However I stopped by my local dealer and he had some brand new ones in stock that someone ordered and didn't end up buying or something. I may try to pick those up and leave your offer to somone else who may need to save the $65 more than I do right now. I need to try to find some grips too I guess, looks like a shopping trip for my lunch hour today. I'll report back later if I was able to get the bars.

I'm a little confused. The 2004 1200C bars part number 55840-04A show they have a 4.14" Knurl Width wheras my stock 2000 Custom (drag) bars part number 56185-98A have a 3.14" Knurl Width. Is the rubbermount custom riser an inch wider than the solid mount custom riser? Will the bars off the 04 work on mine and clamp tight or am I going to be inside the knurl area and they will be unsafe?

If you are interested in stock grips, I have a set.
