No offense but are you absolutely sure that's a 74? I thought they changed the shifter to the left side in 74. Of course it was with that weird linkage so maybe yours was switched back??? The company was making a lot of changes that year as AMF came in so maybe its just an early year production model. ...or maybe I just don't remember correctly.

I am positive it is a 74...went to left side shift in 75.

That's correct - 1974 was the last year of the right-side shift. There were attempts at cross-overs but the DOT mandated the change for 1975.

BTW - very nice build. What type of hard tail frame is that?
