A bit of an overlap with the "bridges" thread.

Beside the Afon Mawddach, Wales. Penmaenpool toll bridge behind.

On the bridge...

Beside the river Nene at Sutton Bridge, Norfolk, England.

How about the Susquehanna River with the 'famous' TMI in the background...

Six and a half years ago we were living in the nearby from Barcelona (where we are from). My wife was on a week-long trip for some job interviews on Germany and she took our daughter along. Realizing the interviews had a good chance to be successful and we had to move, I took a day off of work to have a nice goodbye tour with my Sportster 883R (my very first serious bike). I already knew she had to be sold in order to make ends meet with the moving and so on, so it was a very emotional 3-day tour which I still hold very dear in my memories...

Here is the trip:

And here are some pics:

Felix, that's heartbreaking. Nice bike.

So technically these are all "next to" a river, though it didn't play much of a part visually in most of the pics.

My bike by a river, it's falling down a mountain though, but still a river

Here's an older photo of my '62 XLCH at the Watt Avenue access to the American River in Sacramento, CA. This was before I did the full custom build on it.
