Got my first bike: HD 1200N
Finally, I have been waiting for a long time to finally get a bike.
I took the MSC this weekend and had a great time, picked up the skills really quick.
There is a significant difference between the bikes in the MSC course and this Nightster, weight is definantly an issue (although slight) and the motor responds much differently.
Took it for a spin around the block and had no major issues other than getting used to this motors rev range and little hiccups.
All in all I am pretty excited, look forward to taking it easy for the next few weeks before venturing out on a regular basis to and from work.

Welcome from a fellow Army man! Where are you located? I suppose you also drive a GTO? If so, what year is it, and post pics.

Located at Fort Huachuca in AZ, GTO is a 2004 and is getting a 416CI Stroked L92 as we speak. The Goat will be pushing about 500rwhp N/A in addition to a 150 shot for the track.
No good pictures at this time.

Cool - have fun & ride safe!
I'm sure you'll find the Nightster second nature within a week or so, but don't let your guard down.
Most accidents occur either in that first year - or toward the end of it when people get cocky...

These are probably a symptom of the lean setting from the factory. Although, there should be few of them on a fuel injected bike. I would recommend you keep an eye on them and if they do not improve as the weather warms, mention it to your dealer as they could be a sign of a slight intake or exhaust leak.
Probably just from the cold. Be careful, one hiccup when turning from a stop light / sign can cause a stall and a dropped bike if you are not expecting it.
If you upgrade the mufflers and intake, you will need to do something with the fuel injection system (PCIII, SERT, Download, Cobra, FuelPak, etc.). At that time, it can be richened up to prevent these hiccups.
Good luck and enjoy those bikes!
