Slightly off topic;
How much more wind does say a 14" or 17" windshield take off your chest as compared to one of these 1/4 fairings?
They look sweet as compared to a windshield although either can be a bit off-putting.
I am looking to add something to my '07 883C to reduce the wind on my chest for long rides at highway speeds, but want something less permanent.

Opinions???

Remove 3 bolts and mine's off (see pics below). Can't tell it was ever mounted - no clamps or brackets left, no scratches, no relocated headilght, instruments, etc. Goes back on just about as quickly. The trick is to fabricate simple mounts that are specific to your bike instead of using the bag of universal clamps, rods, brackets, and bolts that comes with many fairings and windshields. I prefer the naked look, but some wind/weather protection is nice from time to time.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it (especially if you don't know what you're doing). Most Sportster problems are owner-induced.

drvsafe, Both the HD quarter fairing and the HD Sport windscreen are Quick detach items. Maybe 3min on or off. The HD options are pricey, but they always work!! Check your catalog for fitment and price details.

I saw a Buel today that had a little fairing on it....It wouldn`t be any wind breaker or anything but looked kinda cool...Looked like it would just be enough to cover the gauges, and over that about 2 to 3 inches....

Really nice.
The perfect fairing for long trips.
Looks better than any windshield.
Do you know the exact part number ?

NOS = New Old Stock. A brand new item that's been sitting on a shelf for years.
