Default Cobra Speedster Exhaust

Has anyone tried the Cobra Speedsters; what are they like, how loud are they? They do them in two styles, Shorts:

and Slashdowns:

On paper they seem quite interesting. They have a hidden 'PowerPort' crossover, like V&H's PowerChamber on their Sideshots and Double Barrels. The sound clips (on the links above) sound OK. But how loud are they?

They're quite similar to the Double Barrels, but with the advantage for the '04 - '06 bikes that you don't need to block off the O2 sensor ports.

I've just found this:

I must have seen that when it was posted, back in September, but I'd forgotten it.

Doesn't sound too good!

Folkie,
Samson (http://www.samsonusa.com/products/se.../268/sfID3/240) has similar looking pipes with much better quality. Pricey on their website but available at a lot of places online for a lot less. They have a nice hot rod sound to'em also.

Thanks Pirate (Arghhh!)

I was looking at the Cobra pipes because they have a crossover. The Samsons have a bewildering range, don't they? Original Big Guns, 2¼" Big Guns, Big Guns 3, Legend Series!

I'm also looking at the Vance & Hines Double Barrels.

Default pipes you say..?

I just put these on my bike on friday... 40" Santee drags, 2" diameter... Pretty good quality material for $59.99. Plus I like the 2" instead of 1 3/4" diameter that I had before. I wanted some of the Samsun long pipes, but dang they're expensive.
