Default super b on 1987 xl1100

Any experience or knowledge of these carbs? A friend has one with an S&S air cleaner he said he'd sell me cheap. Was wondering if it was worth replacing my keihin butterfly carb on my xl1100 with this one. Any problems or compatibility issues? It is currently installed on a (not running shovel sporty) so he doesn't know how well it works on his sportster.

I also don't know any other specs at this time such as how many mm the carb is.

I wouldn't - the B is a very old design, and in addition to possibly being worn out, it probably doesn't have an accelerator pump, either. If you want an S&S, get an E.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it (especially if you don't know what you're doing). Most Sportster problems are owner-induced.
