I could use some help on this - Oil cap popping off
Alright I made a post a few days back about my oil cap popping off and oil spewing everywhere. I recieved many replies that there is too much oil in the bike. With that said I know the oil level is good actually it needs oil ( so much has spewed out) I changed the crank case breather filter, easy to do and it was a suggestion I recieved. Still same problem start her up with in 45 secs pressure in the oil tank pushes the cap off and oil comes out. Im new to the Harley deal but it seems to me oil is returning from the motor good ( to good) but possably not going from the oil tank to the motor???
...I am open to any knowledge on the subject
also if it makes a differnece the bike does have a force winder XR intake

Umbrella valves not functioning or blockage in head breather vent lines, or at the worst, oil lines incorrectly routed...

You don't say if it ever worked fine as long as you've owned it.
The reason I ask is usually problems are caused, they rarely just happen. Did you install the forcewinder? Did it work fine before the intake installation? Or did it just start happening out of the blue with no help from anyone? Was some mechanic in the rockerbox area lately?

Only 3 things I can think of that would cause this:
Venting...
Excessive Oil...
or
A sticky/damaged return spring on the anti-siphon ball in you oil filter housing. (not sure if thats what its called) The little rubber ball that prevents oil from draining back into the engine case...

Did you change your oil filter? Might be blocked and causing pressure.

You swapped your air filter and replaced the breather bolts right? I know someone who put normal bolts in there and it caused this exact issue. The breatehr bolts have holes in them, you cannot run a standard bolt.

Can you take a close up picture of the breather area behind the air filter. My buddy who did this did nto have an issue until he drove for in excess of 2 hours.

ok i'm a bit of a red neck, but did you check it warm or cold, the check valve in mine is bad soif you look in there when its cold its realy empty looking, fire it up and it pushes all the oil out of the case back up to the bag, faster than its sucking it out so about 45 seconds later,POP,PUKE,clean up the mess, pumped out a ton of oil and leveled it off when its warm and no problems,so you might still have too much oil in there, maybe
