Hello everyone

I found this thread by looking for info on headlight conversions!!!

I've been a member of the site for a few months now so thought I'd say hello to the other Sporty riders in the UK.

According to my logbook my 883 with 1200 Conversion is Yellow but I have sprayed her flat black!

My first Sporty was also black!

When I have the money there will be a few more changes and a proper sprayjob which will also be BLACK!!

So anyway, Hello from sunny somerset!!

Hi there, Mine is red but the wheels are black, does that count. I'm in Manchester, anyone fancy turning up at a track day sometime this summer and causing havoc.

883 with many blingy bits chugging around Oldham, Lancashire.
Look out in Manchester for a big fat bloke on a ickle red sporty.
Higher bars, forwards, Corbin seat, chrome sidepanels and pulley covers, V and H short shots and Dynojet kit.

See you around the Greater Manchester area and at the Manchester dealers/HOG meets at Hough End.

Thumbs up In the U.K.

Hi everyone!
Here on the West coast of Scotland. (On the Edge)

Mine was Crimson Red when I first got it. It was imported from The U.S. to Germany, then to England somewhere, then lastly to Harleston, Norfolk to PM Motorcycles where I found it. Bought it back in 1997 or so. Not long after exposure to the Scottish weather, grit, salt and sh!t, the paint started to separate itself from the front and rear tins. I did the right thing by it and proceeded to take it all off, strip, treat, primer and Paint It Black. Notified DVLA. I kind of wondered about this at first. As the VIN is stamped on the frame and it is black, did I really need to notify them?
I have tried to stay away from as much chrome as possible, so about the only things that are on it are the mufflers, (heat shields are black), air cleaner cover, risers and bar clamp... I could go on. Just little things that don't take a long time to clean and polish.
It is going to to be Cobalt Blue Pearl soon, as I have the full paint set for it. Except that the tank is a 100th Luxury Rich Blue. But the frame will still be black.
The way I see it is they all look black in the dark...

A reminder or to let others know:

THUNDER IN THE GLENS at AVIEMORE See my post in the individual location section or go to http://www.dunedinhog.com/

It's not just for H.O.G. members! Even though it is a Harley event, anyone on two, three and even 4 wheels are made welcome. If you've never been, it is a great event and not like a rally, (unless you're in a tent), it's more like any one of the bike weeks that are held in the U.S.
Hope to see and meet you there!
