Fuel protest by bikers
I just watched this video of a bikers protest over fuel prices on the M62 into Manchester, there was nearly 1500 bikes, hope it gets the desired result.

Couldn't see the video because of my security settings...
But, I agree that OPEC, and/or even the oil companies, aren't intimidated by any protest by bikers, truckers, cagers, etc...
When demand drops, prices will drop. Basic economics.

That was beautiful! ...but yeah, little result comes from these types of events. At least here in the States anyway.

I think their aim was to get the government to look at the amount of duty they put on fuel, petrol tax duty is 50.3p then vat is added and the rest is what the retailer and the supplier takes. in October this duty then rises to 52.3p a litre.

By the interviews, it seems they are protesting the taxes added to the fuel price. One biker mentioned the new "congestion tax" that is or will be added. So maybe they will get a message in to the tax man.

Think Gas is High? Try Europe
Was watching Glenn Beck on CNN the other day...........Europe pays 70% taxes on all fuel...........without the taxes you would be equal to $ 4 dollars a gallon like the United States of The Offended is paying!!

Without the taxes, there would be no national healthcare. Gotta look at the complete picture.
Kinda like Cleveland,Ohio. They put an extra tax on tobacco products to support the "Arts". Dumb, if you ask me. Tax the poor so the rich can enjoy the arts. I think there is a smoke tax in Cleveland's county to help pay for the stadiums too. Then you can't smoke in the stadiums.

Late 87-883 Hugger/1380cc (84") conversion. Too many cool parts to list. Built engine on a fresh set of cases, so conversion might not really describe it. Estimated near 115 hp.
Early 87-883/1200 conversion. Wife's bike. SE heads, 1200 flat pistons, 40" Drag Pipes, everything else stock.

...I wonder how many Taxes they could do away with if the Powers that be, pulled their head out of their arses and actually learned how to manage the Budget.
