Default Rear spoked rim for 2004 Sporty

Hello out there,

New member here and had a question for all and any of you. Does anyone know where you can get a rear spoked rim for a 2004 sporty? I upgraded to a 21" spoked front but now would like to have the rear. Please help.

Thanks

Howdy Hogan,

I don't have an answer for your question, I just want to say
Welcome to the XL Forum!!!
I saw on the other post you made that you ride whitewalls. It's nice to have another man of class in the ranks of the forum.

Any late model Sportster spoked rear wheel should work. The 2005s have a one inch rear axle so they require a late model "big twin" spoked rear wheel. eBay or the Harley dealer are two options.

I upgraded to the spoked chrome smoothies (front and rear) before I took delivery of my bike from the dealer. I would check with your local dealer.

There are a lot of spoked rims available for your bike. I've seen some really nice 60 spoke on ebay for around $250.00. V-twin has a 60 spoke 16" X 5" I've had my eye on for a 180 tire conversion for $400.00.

I checked with my dealer when i first got the bike and they couldnt find anything other than a Halrey back wheel and it was going to cost around $500. Dont want to spend that much. I just didnt know if it had to be a special one since it has a 150 tire on it.

Hey Hogan,
Welcome to the Forum. I have a spoked rear wheel, with tube and brake rotor that was a takeoff from my 2005 883. In checking the parts book the hub and wheel are the same since 2002, but you would have to use the bearings and spacers from your existing wheel. I was going to put it on Ebay for 250.00 plus shipping. Send me a PM if your interested. Thanks

Stan
