Single Fire set up
I have an 03' 1200xlc. stage one. I took off my cam cover to chop it ( going for the bober look) and broke the Ignition module. I was thinking about upgrading it. Is the Accel single fire "super System' 1970-99 a good set up to get? any advice would be great! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=230263331070

Single fire is no different than the system you have.
DUAL fire is better.

Wow. This is the first time I've heard this. Tell me why you think this. My understanding was that dual fire was HD's cheap work around.

I recently changed from stock to SE's selectable curve ignition module along with a SE single fire coil...I like the change...bike runs smoother, warms up faster, I can adjust my Ig. timing to suit my riding in a matter of minutes (you can adjust to four different curves to suit you and your bike...the fastest curve is a bit hard on my bike) I did have to mod my coil bracket b/c the SE coil is larger and would have rested on my front cylinder head...also I recommend buying a multi-use plug wire kit and making your own plug wires b/c I found out after the fact my SE front plug wire was to short by about a 1/4 inch...I bought the entire set-up off ebay (new) and it cost me under 150 bones...shop around, check the forums...FE gave me some good advice when I had some of the same ?'s you do-
oh yeah and now I can pull my front tire off the ground pretty easy (in 1st and 2nd) with quick blip of the throttle...no bogging, very responsive-

I like single-fire better.
Get an adjustable unit like the Twin-Tec 1005S.
The only thing w/ single-fire ignition, you have to get a single-fire coil too.
