Rubbermount 1200R Owners
Rubbermount 1200 R owners who have the stock seat, a question for you.
Do you like it? Is it comfortable or do you hate it?

I'm still on the stock seat. I haven't done any long distance riding yet, tho. I'm usually on it no longer than an hour at a time. It's bareable. I'm probably going to switch it to the Sundowner this summer.
I am looking for something more comfortable.

Hi Mel,
Did you enjoy at your party?
I was satisfied with ride comfort, but dislike shape.
If it is similar shape, I like this.

Still got it, gotta get rid of it.
Being a guy who doesn't have the slim, trim tight bum any more, I guess my butt bones don't have padding in the right places.
I'd been wanting to get the larger custom tank and seat, else I would've replaced the stocker before now.
Now, I'm looking to get a Road Glide. So I may end up replacing the whole bike. I'm not going to be able to justify having two bikes. sigh

Still have the stock seat but ain't real happy with it. It does feel a little better now compared to new so either my ass got tougher or the seat got softer. I'm looking at a sheepskin seat cover (Alaska Leather) to maybe ease things a bit.

Mine is sitting in the basement in my take-off parts pile.
It was comfortable for 30 minutes of ride time until I started getting sore...
I replaced it with a Mustang within the first month of owning the bike. Money well spent for me.

Thanks guys, that's what I wanted to know. I just thought as stock seats went, it looked pretty good and wondered about the comfort.
The reason for the question is there is a new take off real cheap on Ebay and I was considering it....
Thanks!

Ths OEM seat isn't real comfy for more than about 1-1/2 hours!
It's gonna be one of my next mods........just need to decide WHICH seat I want.
