Is black the fastest color?
I would think that black paint would hold more pigment than any other color and would therefore be the heaviest. Also when the sun hits it the surface would expand the most causing more drag. Wouldn't these factors cause it to be the slowest color? I've found a couple studies one on rowing boats and one on burning candles and both say yellow was the fastest. Are we being tricked by people into believing black is faster? I've seen a lot of fast orange stuff in my day, Tony Stewart is pretty quick, but bicycle racers wear the yellow jersey when they are fastest. What do we tell our children? Is yellow fastest? The Screamin Eagle race team is all about orange.

well it all depends on if you are using additive or subtractive color theory to base your assumptions but in short, no, black is not the fastest color...red has always been faster on cars and I've always thought that red was faster bikes too...but I've had a hard time getting people to go along with this...of course...those people all have black bikes so

i think white would be faster. white is absence of color. no color no weight from any kinda dye or paint pigments. white reflects. what reflects speed? as i reflect on this thought my mind is blank. blank like the color white. black sure didnt make my bike fast.

Of course Red is the 'fastest color'...
Just ask any law enforcement officer.
They stop more Red vehicles, 2 wheels or 4, than any other color.

black is not a color, it's a shade. So your question is irrelevant.
Sorry, just being a smart a$$…
