[QUOTE=xlchjoe;3431771]OMG! It's been 43 years since I had my Rupp.

I might have to redo the math. I researched it recently and it was a '72 so that would make it 39 years.........at this age, I lose track of the years! Got it for Xmas!

Those jackshafts wore out frequently. I still remember working on that thing!
This thing made me hate Tecumseh engines forever! I had to prime it to start it by poking the diaphram with a stick. Guess I never thought of buying a new one!

I have ridden many other bikes since I was very young, but they have always belonged to someone else. My 07 883R is the first bike that I have ever bought and owned. And I am proud of it.

Today she turns exactly four years old. Happy birthday baby

Default Never too late ...

It took a few years --- ok, many years --- but I finally have my bike. A 91 1200 XLH.

My first bike was when i was 6 years old. My dad had bought a 1968 Harley Davidson 125. He chopped it to fit, put a triumph teardrop tank on it and the rest is history.

My first bike, in 1994 was a 1980 Suzuki GS450L, I think I paid $475 for it. I was all I could afford at the time... I wasn't bad, but not much fun revved up above 45 or 50 mph.

I guess you gotta start somewhere.

My very first bike was a showroom new 1970 Harley-Davidson... M65!

40 years later I get a '72 XLH. Go figure.

My first bike was an XL,, but not a sportster. My first bike was an 81 Honda XL500R. I was 14, bought it as a basket case, fixed it up, and rode the piss out of it.
