My first bike was a 2000 model 1200xl, now I have a 2012 iron 883. No mods yet but have a lot of plans once the money is there.

I've had 2 of these, they make great bobbers. one i actualy took the main cover off, gutted the stator, afixed a pully that spun a front mounted japanes car alternator that charged the battery. not sure why i did it... I think it was just to prove i could.

First thing for the iron will be forward controls I'm 6'2 and I need to strech out a bit. Next a handle bar change need to bring it up some so I don't have to bend over as much. Then some pipes and an AC thinking either V&H Shortshots or Basanni FireFlights, not sure what I want for the AC Maybe the SE Heavy Breather. And I want to black out the rest of the trim. The bike is denim black and I want to go as blacked out as posible. In the future I'm thinking of a little bit of rake in the front and wider tire in the back 180 maybe 200, then some engine work maybe a 1250 kit.

Just bought an 09 xl1200n two months ago. First bike I ever rode besides the training course's 250cc. It had ~9500 miles on it when I bought it. Now its up to ~15700. Lots of miles in the last few months.

I rode a friend of mines bike when we were in high school many years ago (Triumph 650). I wouldn't say I was any kind of a real rider then. My first bike was a Sporty.
