Default Chicago - Ft. Collins, CO (Suggestions welcome)

I'm looking for any suggestions on overnight stays or places of interest on my trip to Colorado. This will be during the last week in June and the first week in July. Most of my time (at least a week) will be spent in Ft. Collins visiting my brother, but it would be nice to get some feedback from you guys as to the other portions of my trip (Particularly the areas I circled in the enclosed map).

I don't want to travel too far off my "planned" route, but I'm open to any suggestions.

This will be a solo trip and I plan to stay in motels and campgrounds for any overnight stay. I'll be traveling on I-90 for the trip out there and taking I-80 on the way back.

So far, here's what I have planned...

Definite stops
-Mt. Rushmore
-Crazy Horse Memorial

Possible stops
-Devil's Tower (This may take me a little further off my route than I want to go.)

I cant vouch for the I-90 part, but here's what I'd do for Nebraska/Iowa:

The INSTANT you enter Nebraskian soil, pin the throttle. The INSTANT you get back into Illinois, you can let off the gas.
