Default front turn signals relocation

i have a 08 nightster with mini-apes. i want to relocate to turn signals to forks. this seems like a pretty simple job, but my only concern is going into the control housing to get the lights out. is this a big deal?

thanks

I did mine a while ago. I cut, resoldered, and shrink-tubed them. Worked great looks great (IMHO). Trick is staggering the cuts so that you don't have a great big bulge in the wires when you are done.

Yep, But all I did was unbolt the TS, bolt in the MoCo relocation kit and relocate the signals to the forks. Had a bunch of extra wire and tucked it under the tank. Actually, I wrapped the extra wire around my speedo for a year and then the guys bore-assed me into moving it!

What do you mean about going into the control housing? Aren't all of the wires external?

not the wires, but the light is mounted to/into the controls housing(turn signals,horn,on/off).

If it's like my '05, its a simple hex nut to get it out. Look for a hole in the front of the assembly. The TS should be mounted on a bolt that drops out once you loosen the hex nut.
