Default Black Bike Bible

Sophistication, elegance, power, stealth, rebellion, mystery, evil, death… Love it or hate it, black makes a powerful statement. Those who are drawn to this “absence of light” understand the power of the "Dark Side", and I’m not talkin’ bout wanting to buy a Big Twin, either.

There is something about the simplicity of a well-designed black motorcycle that grabs me, takes hold of my senses, and evokes feelings of awe. I have already seen some pictures of a few gorgeous black bikes right here on the XL Forum, but I am sure there may be some I haven’t seen. This thread will hopefully fulfill my need to see these things of beauty all in one location, rather than attempting to find them by searching aimlessly through the member galleries. Over time, I hope that many other members will also enjoy this collection of photographs.

My request is simple… if you have a black (or “mostly” black) Sportster of any year and style, please post ONE reasonably sized picture in this thread, and include a link to your XL Forum Photo Gallery so that members may go directly there to see any other photos of your bike that you may have. If you use a different site to host your pictures, then please direct us to that location.

Here is the current state of my bike(08/07/06):

Thanks in advance for checking out the Black Bike Bible! Sincerely, Cat

Got a cat the other day. Had to swerve to get it, but I got it.

Oh, WOW! See?!?! I never would have seen this bike in black unless I posted this thread! I gotta tell you Gary, I do like the current look of your ride, but I am very impressed at how it looks in BLACK! Thanks for posting...
