Default E-Z Fill Fork Caps

Ok, when I replace my fork springs I want to replace the fork caps with the ones that allow you to re-fill with oil without pulling the entire cap off.

Can anyone tell me why this 39mm kit only fits XL's from 88-03? Did they change the caps/fork tubes so these won't fit on post '03's?

Or, does someone have info on caps like these that will fit '04 or later XL's?

Sporty,
Follow the link that you posted and look under the updated 2006 catalogue. It shows that it fits Sportsters up to 2006.

Actually it looks like it specifically mentions only fitting BT's up to 2006.
Its a good question - what changed in forks for the rubber mounts?

SG, you shouldn't have any problem fitting those caps to your bike.

39mm is the same on either 03-06, 39 mm is just the width of the trees versus 41mm used on BT's.
