It's a Bagger now...
Well the weather is not getting any better, and doesn't look like it will while I'm home this time.
So I bit the bullet and finished my winter project today.
The additions are Voltmeter and Oil Pressure guages, chrome master cyl and clutch bracket, chrome levers, Swingback cover set, stainless braided control cables, and hard leather bags. I also swapped the drag bars out for stock.
Man, my feet are cold!

Walt, very nice. I like that look. It looks like its going to be a comfortable ride, I bet you can't wait. Better put it back in the garage before the storm tonight. We're expecting 8-12 here in MA What about you guys?

It was starting to snow as I took those pics, blasting down now.
Glad I got it all done, ran the carb dry and plugged in the batterry.
Good till May now, hope to go to the rally in St. Louis, I have a brother there.

Nice, you've got the same type of bars I put on my bike. I really like them compared to the drag bars. And your getting the same F$#$%$%%&$##@ snowstorm we're getting here tonight. When will it end?

Nice work, Walt. I like the gauge set up. Spring's only 21 days away, so maybe the windshield can wait 'til next year. Hope you guys have an early thaw. Yesterday was our deluge...over 5 inches of rain in about 8 hours. Cleared up nice today.

A word on the guages...
The included instructions (both guages) called for the hot wire to be connected to the orange/white wire at the diagnostic connector in front of the batterry. It's not there- looked at the manual, that wire is located throughout the harnesses fed from the accessory fuse. I found a connector under the tank that had this wire open ended, and spliced into it. It's also accessable inside the headlight.
Hope this helps someone out.

Nice bike Wait,
I'm setting mine up very similar, my question is about the rigid leather bags. How do they hold up over time, especially in rainy weather. I live in the Pacific Northwest and if you don't ride in the ride, it'll be hard to ride very often. Does anyone know how to keep the bags from going to crap in short order??
Thanks

Have those bags and I treat them with leather conditioner and rain has been no problem, the bags still look great
