Default How much pressure is behind a timing cover?

i want to try and make some timing covers and I want to back them with colored acrylic. i was basicaly trying to figure out if any problems would come of it. I cant remember if when I took mine off if there is a seal behind it or oil for that matter. i dont believe so and I'm too lazy to go and take it off in the sub zero garage!LOL What do y'all think?

Well, on the rubbermount Sportys there is no seal, no pressure, no moving parts behind the cover. There's an ignition modue behind the solidmount Sportys.

no pressure, there is even a hole in the bottom for ignition wires to run through. The seal is to keep water out.
