MY 2007 Sportster (Check it out...EXTRAS & Opinions)
Hi guys and gals !
David from NYC and just purchased my first Harley. I have a Hayabusa and a ST1300 and wanted a piece of history.
I have already put 16 inch apes on it....and MUCH MUCH MORE !
Unfortunately there are NO aftermarket pipes out yet....Sampson and V&H are advertising them but not out until April.
Tell me what you think....suggestions...comments....etc.
Thanks a looking forward to getting know you all !

Drilled out the baffles and needed to open up the airbox until custom pipes come out. Then a race tuner or fuel pak, forcewinder and pipes.

About $2000 in Genuine HD parts to put on
Looking forward to feedback...

Honestly PREBS...I wanted a bike that people will LOOK at. Well, I have had the bike for 4 weeks and 2 of them it was at OUTBACK CHOPPERS getting all the work done. It is FAR from done....BUT.....
They are VERY VERY VERY comfortable...believe it or not.
I have 2 other bikes for LONG day rides...this bike is going to be a SLOW and SHOW bike.
Short rides in the mountains and hills of Upstate NY.
The bike cost me 10K and I have already bought 4K in parts and 2K in the labor.....but plenty of cashola to spend this winter making it my own.

Nah....took the plate off (got a side mount/curved Kuryankan) and the holes were in the finder. I purchased that genuine HD polished skull emblem. I roughed up the paint and JB welded it over the holes. Looks real trick !

Chester NY 10918. Right over the NJ/NY border off of the NYS thruway.
Work for Marriott Hotels 17 years (I am 35) and I am VP of Sales and Marketing for the entire East coast. On the road 48 weeks out of the year.
Put about 70K miles on the car every year.

I have all the genuine HD parts for:
All slotted look....
Shift linkage
Shift pedal
Brake rod
Brake lever
brake pedal
tappet covers
plug covers
solo seat
and a bunch of other HD stuff.
I really want pipes but they arent out yet so I had my mechanic drill the baffles out and drill the air cleaner until V&H comes out with a line of pipes and race pacs. I really want a forcewinder wide mouth air cleaner.

Is that your own garage in the pics?
Looks like you have no shortage of
regular hand tools there.
If so, get yourself a service manual
and start doing your own mods.
The manual combined with all the
info on this forum, you could have
saved that 2 grand in labor.
Cool bike btw.

putting 70000 miles a year in the cage, perhaps time is his most precious commodity. i.e. no time to do it himself.
That being said, taking the time out from your hectic schedule to work on the Sportster might be excellent therapy for your road weary bones.
Nice looking scoot hope you are able to enjoy it as much as possible.
Almost forgot............
