Default Super E Shortie mounting to Ironhead

If anyone has a Newer, SS carb........where does it secured to the engine or case? Mine (carb) was free floating, jutst secured by intake clamps and I believe is causing my never ending plug foul problem.

Nothing in SS carb manual useful. I have the mount. It doesnt seem to go anywhere.(too long for that bolt, to short for the other bolt)

Augie

I don't have the super E but my bracket mounts to the back of my air cleaner, not the carb itself.

There is a bracket that bolts to the back of the air cleaner and to one of the tappet bolts. It bolts to the front cylinder intake tappet hold down bolt. You can see it in this picture. It holds the carb rock solid.

I made one from flat steel stock, 1/8" thick by about 1" wide. Attaches the same as FDNY's above. A couple of bends; drill a couple of holes. A bit tricky getting it exactly the correct shape.

THANKS SO MUCH guys! BIG thanks Skin for the picture. It mounts where the the old from stock mounted. Seeing the picture......They sent me the wrong support. The angle on mine is completely different.

Thanks Mick also. Gonna bend this baby and maker fit.
