I like them but bags really change the look, I use the ghost brackets so I can get them off quickly when I don't want them, it also makes it much easier to wash the bike. It is nice to be able to carry more.

I just got off the phone with the manufacturers of the Ghost Bracket system and they are looking into whether there system will work on the HD hard cases for the Sportster. I doubt it. I may have to come up with the hardware myself. Detachable hard cases would be ideal.

Here is one I saw on ebay....it changed my opnion about Sportys and bags, it's usually not my thing. I'm into less is more, bobbers and choppers to be exact. However this one with the wheel, Corbin fender, and small H.D. windscreen in combination with the bags looks great!

The Ghost Bracket WILL work with the HD hardcases. They has a special adaptor that works with the quick detach backrest mounts too. I'll check it out. My only concern is if it makes the cases push further out than they already are.
Will keep you posted.

it does push them out about 2 inches on each side, this is the best pic I have but you can't really see. For me it's not a big deal compared to being able to pop them off.
