Default Alternative Speedo Mounting?

I am running a 4 1/2" pullback riser with buckhorn bars with all wiring ran in the bars and all braided lines. Front end is looking really clean except that ugly big speedo. Was thinking I could easily fab up a bracket to mount the speedo of the engine or frame right in front of the ham can. I think it would look pretty decent and wouldn't be in the way, plus really help clean up the front end. Anybody else do this? Any Ideas for placement?

I saw this bike (custom chop) and thought the speedo placement was pretty cool, just in front of the oil tank.

You've got the speedo mounted on the brow, correct? If you move it down to the engine you'll create a very dangerous situation for yourself because you will be looking down to see it. Doesn't sound like a good thing.

Not unless you want to spend a few bucks and go with the digital gauges in the risers

depends on how often you want to look at the speedo...You've got one, so it's legal. Other than that, it's not something you really look at all the time...HOw long would it takt to look down? a half a second? Just don't look down when your on the ass of an 18-wheeler putting on the brakes!

To be honest, I don't really look at my speedo all that much. More so for fuel reasons (trip meter) than speed. I just usually follow the flow of traffic, and try to maintain a good buffer of space around me.

You do raise a valid point though. I wonder if it's even legal to relocate it???
