Last summer a small group of German tourists pulling trailers went through St. Louis, MO on Highway 44 (South). The lead bike executed a quick maneuver to dodge a pothole or something. The quick dodge set up some kind of wig-wag and the bike went down in front of 75 mph traffic. I saw the white sheets over them as I drove eastbound. Trailers are harmful to the handling characteristics of any bike. Think about traveling lighter.

It might be safer to buy a trailer to pull your bike in, and all the things you want to bring, and then ride when you get to where you are going. I agree with norm, think about traveling lighter
