Default Petcock question?

Are you talking thread size? Stock tank or not? I think the stock is a metric size but I don't remember the exact number...19mm I think..

Without the vacuum you will always have to remember to turn it off or drown your carb.

I'm sure it's 22mm, but I stand to be corrected. Mine is that size (2006) I know this as I've just bought one as I'm about to convert to a non-vacuum petcock.

Correct me if I am wrong but...
Isn't the vacuum just like an auto shut off?
The carb has a float for flow control and because of this will not drown the carb while idling.

Yes the vacuum is an auto shut off. Closes the flow with the engine off. It was in place because Harley carbs are notorious for leaking fuel if the petcock was not shut off.
