My sporty is currently under the knife.. to go from this..

To a something similar to this..

Fender is already cut, just traded a smaller tank for my larger one.. solo seat is in the mail and shorter shocks as well.. Now to figure out what i want to do on the side of the tank.. it'll be satin/flat black for sure.. anyone have any idea's for tank design? looking for an old school bobber feel!

Funny, so is mine LOL!

This is it's current state... I've got parts all over: the soda blaster (paint removal) powdercoater, and the pinstriper. I'm still waiting for ordered parts too. When it's done no one will no it was the same bike below in my sig. The only give away will be the bars.

Laced wheels (usually chrome 40 spoke) are another name for spoked rims. Some people refer to "Mags" as spoked wheels too.
My rims (40 spoked) are at the powdercoater getting a nice new coat of wet black.

I went from red to black last winter, and changed a few other things at the same time. I bought all new (used)tins and saved the red set, but I like it in black so much I don't think I'll ever go back! Good luck with your project.

Here are before and after pics....
