Default Iron H 1" Stem Bearings (Wobble in front end)

Anyone know where i can get bearings for a late model 1" stem lower tree?

I just bought an '81 with a front end wobble and i remember the po says he
swapped in a 1 inch stem and custom caps. I am almost sure he did something wrong or re-used old bearings or they're loose etc. because the front end wobbles like weeble-wobble.

Default bearings

you can get bearings from J&P or if you take it apart you can just go to a bearing supply shop and they should be able to cross over to something for it.What do you mean by tight?? do you not have a manual to check "fall Away"?Wobble maybe tire??

I have a clymers. The pinch bolt should be 21-27 lbs. For the front-end play it just says raise the tire and give the bars a tap. They should go all the way with a relatively light tap.

What I mean by tight is that it's very difficult to turn the handlbars when in slow speeds (I don't have it in me to go fast). The front end wobbles. Could the dealer be clueless or taking me for a ride?

I still don't get tightening the pinch bolt when it feels tight, but I just looked in the service book, and there's no way the bolt is anywhere near as tight as apporx. 25 lbs. It's in fact very loose. I guess I'll give it a try tonight. . . . Beats replacing the bearings . . .
