Default '04 5k maintenance ???

OK. I have an '01 and am going to help a friend do his 5k on his new to him '04.
We have the manual for his bike, I just haven't looked at it yet.
I just have a few ?'s on the differences.

Does the 04 use the same oil filter? 63796-77A
I think the oil is checked w/ the bike on the sidestand on 04's, right?
Tranny fluid, same amount as the 01? I know my manual says 32 oz, but it only takes 28 oz.
I'm guessing the primary chain tension and the clutch adjustment are done the same.

Any other differences between the solid-mounts and rubber-mounts, maintenance-wise?

I've been doing my own maintenance for the last 30k, but I haven't worked on a rubber-mount before. I will look through the manual before I work on his bike, I was just looking for a heads-up on any differences.

One last ?
Is a 6 pack adequate comp?

thx
