Default Push rod installment

Ok so i cant figure out for the life of me how to install the pushrods on the front cylinder. I can get the left rod in and it fits, but the right rod keeps holding up the head. So i was wondering what the best way to install the pushrods? Thanks!!

With the transmission in 4th gear, spark plugs out, rotate the engine using the rear wheel until the lifter is in the full down position. There should be lots of space there.
