Seems reasonably complete and original, but not the paintwork. but I don't know much about the 60s models. I am sure the inhouse experts will give it a good picking over when they get here.
Seems like a lot of money for an old Ironhead? You would get one cheaper in Oz.

I hear you can catch a dose cheaper in Oz too
I am not thinking of buying it but with the SU carby and the peanut tank I was wondering how original it was.

For starters the paint is wrong. The spark plug wires are not only wrong, they look terrible. The front end is wrong (or the fender wings have been cut off). The front fender is wrong. Both wheels have the wrong rim (drop centers) The seat is some kind of aftermarket thing mounted oddly. I believe Harley switched to ribbed cam cover in late 67, but whether this one is early or late, the sprocket cover should match (it doesn't). The exhaust pipes aren't stock. It looks as if there might be an SU carb (not stock) behind the air cleaner. It has the wrong nuts on the rocker boxes. And so on.
The frame looks stock, it has some of the right parts. It could be a very nice rider for someone looking for a non-original bike, and if you're very ambitious, you could bring it slowly back to stock.
I don't know what prices are like in New Zealand, but if the motor was fairly fresh and it ran great, around here it would be a $4000 bike (tops) It's not a bad looking bike. The vin looks wrong--it should read 67 XLCH

If it were mostly original (which it's not) it still probably wouldn't be worth $13,000 US.

Nah, especially not in this market. If it were earlier, maybe, but by 67 they were making a lot of CHs. As point of reference, that beautiful 66 on ebay went for $8400, and I wouldn't trade the 66 for three like this one.

Nice looking daily rider. But for $13K? No way. Here in HOuston it would bring maybe $4K tops, and that's with spanking new rebuild on motor.

So the answer to my question is "Not Very".....I don't know a lot about 60's Sporties but it just looked wrong to me.....and they will never get 20,000NZD for it!!!
