Gas tank
Im thinking about eventually switching out my stock tank. how much of a bitch would it be to retro-fit, lets say a Street Bob tank?

It's not all that difficult unless your talking about having the guages and ignition switch in conjunction with the tank. The costliest part is the painting of the tank.

Super Glide and Street Bob are both in the Dyna family so that write up will work for the the Street Bob. I'm assuming that the mounting of the tanks to the frames would be the same. So there you have it you can have your tank mounted speedo.
Now all you need are the parts and you are good to go. Good luck and post pictures as you are doing it.

The Street Bob is fuel injection. You could go to a carb, but it would be easier just to get another Sportster.

I meant to say, will the dynas male fuel pump harness connector match up the the sportsters female connector? i had just gotten back from a run after on top of working a 12 hour day. i may have simplified the question too much in my daze. sorry for the confusion.
