Default Leave your friend for dead?!?

Last weekend, a (Sporty) rider in my town died in a fatal accident. Apparently, he and two other friends were at a local watering hole and were later speeding into town when they began to egg on a driver of a '67 Camaro. I didn't understand exactly what happened and witnesses were saying he was doing wheelies (Which I doubt. Not on that road or that speed). The media reports that the car and bike simultaneously changed lanes and the bike and car made contact with the bike the wobbling with the bike coming to a rest literally underneath the Camaro.

The road was closed for about 6 hours while the accident reconstruction team did their thing. The riders brains were literally all over the road and the paint from the investigative team is still there. There are circles painted everywhere!

Hearing of such a loss is bad enough but to hear that your TWO friends DID NOT STOP OR EVEN RETURN (BAC concerns?) is despicable!

I guess that is why I really only have about 5 guys who I would consider a friend. To me, a friend is like family and couldn't even imagine a friend getting a splinter without me jumping in and willing to use my teeth to get it out!

I cannot get over somebody actually leaving their "bud" on the road DEAD!

There's buddies, pals, associates....and then there's friends. The different is significant.

47 years old, and still not old enough to know not to race on the road and drink and drive?

Don't know all the facts, but sorry for the ones who lost someone.

Hell I even stop for people I don't know. I carry emergency first aid with me at all times.
I am not perfect and maybe there were times in the past that I could have cought some sh*t had I stopped, but I still would have stopped.
No excuse for them to run off.
