Hello from Pittsburgh and welcome to the XLForum.

My best guess is 2004 up mufflers will work. Watch out for the catalytic ones. Because you have an "R" the rear muffler has an indent for the axle nut.

I modified a set of stock mufflers, opened up the AC backing plate and installed a K&N air filter. I used the "undented" rear muffler and this dent isn't really needed. The Dyno showed about a 10% increase in power. Now I have a Supertrapp 2 into 1 exhaust system, Hurricane AC and I'm using a PCIII tuner. The power increase was a giant step up compared to my first mods.

If you're going to start wrenching on your scoot you need a HD Service Manual and the HD Parts Catalog.

Keep us updated on your progress and for those of us that can't read,
We need photos!!

Dammit! I have a 1200R set too, but I'm 2 down the list.

If those above me don't work out, let me know.

Direwolf, please don't post identical duplicate threads in different sections. Decide what one section it should go in, and leave it at that.

If you're getting no responses, bump it up, or ask a mod to move it.

Also, WTBs shouldn't be posted in the Forum sections; in future use the Classifieds please.

Thanks.
