Default Went down today - Not hurt and bike is ok, but lesson learned

Yep, BigJ went down on the bike today. I knew it was coming to, but unfortunately I couldn't do shit about it. I'm riding down a road picking up signs for another forum and come to this:

That is a cattle guard / bridge. See the brown stuff across the bridge? Yep, friggin mud. I didn't see it at the time (that picture was AFTER retreiving the bike).

I managed to cross the cattle guard doing about 20mph and then I see thick, brown mud. My momentum carried me threw the mud, the rear wheel spun, and instantly my feet went out. I panicked and XLFXLFXLFXLF ME, grabbed the front brake. Grabbing the brake locked up the front wheel, turned it clockwise and by the luck of God, I stepped off the bike and it was going down.

My right foot catches first as the bike is going down and I take one hop, bike goes down under me, left foot clears the seat and I'm standing next to my bike.

I didn't have the chance to take a picture of her laying on the right side. My camera was in my tank bag and I screaming at myself, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!

I get the bike back up and slowly and carefully turn it around and ride it back across the cattle guard / bridge.

What did I learn? Don't grab the front brake when sliding in mud. If I hadn't of done that, I wouldn't have gone down. I could have duck walked my way out of the mud.

Only damage was the right mirror was bent back a little bit. And this evening when I got home, the right highway peg wiggles a little bit. The highway peg took the majority of the weight. I'll probably have to replace those 2 mounting bolts.
