I just bought a 74 xlh and the previous owner was midway into adding a kicker.Attaching the ratchet plate to the clutch shell is the next step according to where he left off. Your thread is exactly what i needed. Thanks.

Default Kicker Shaft Support

Here are the pics of the kicker shaft bracket I made today. I got it about 98% done. I just need to weld up the return spring boss tomorrow and it will be done. Once I get it complete tomorrow I will post a pic of the final product off the bike for a better view.
