X14ied
I just got my X14ied's in today. Gonna put them on my bike tonight. No riding tomorrow (expecting 3-7 inches of snow overnight here in Central Texas) !! Looking through this paper that came with them, I noticed where it talks about codes 131/151. Am I gonna be getting a check engine light?? Have any of you got a check engine light after installing and is it possible to clear it without going to my local dealer?

1st Sporty, I installed the X14ieos a year ago and could not be any happier. No Code lights and no Cold Stumble. Worked great for me.

2008 1200R I installed them about 6 months ago, no codes, bike runs a lot smoother, I really like them, although it still has the cold start up stumble sometimes?

Thanks for all of the responses. I'm looking forward to putting them on and riding!! Gonna put the program back in to the Fuelpak for my mods. I've screwed with one of the settings (I think it's 22) up and down. I'll post if I have any problems.

To answer your other questions....yes, it is possible and very easy to clear the codes if they do pop up. Here is my write-up (post #1 towards the bottom):

And here is Bert's:

If you have an exhaust and a high flow air cleaner can you just use the xied's or do you still need a fuelpak ,PC or super tuner along with the xied's.Any advice would be great .Thanks

I'm also curious on this. I've heard all versions so far. Am thinking on getting the stage1 download and then installing them. Reason being is I've heard the bike can adjust only in a short range when it comes to afr. Don't know how true this is.
Anybody have experienced advice for us?
