Denim owners, what's your opinion
I'm lookin to pickup an 08 Nightster but I'm torn on the paint set. For you folks that own a Nightster with a silver or olive denim paint set, what do you think? Any pros or cons so far, or is it a total non-issue.
TIA,
4-pac

So Far i really like the denim. I sure seemed to spend al ot of time keeping my previous bike clean. The Silver/black denim combo on this bike doesn't seem to show the dust or dirt as much. I have spent alot of time riding and very little cleaning on this bike. Even the salesperson at the dealer has made comments on how this is the only bike that looks better when it's dirty. The only time it was clean at the dealer was when I had it in for the dyno. The side covers are not denim, they appear to be vivid black and they always stick out as looking alot dirtier than the denim parts. No waxing needed is also nice.
I have had the bike about 5 months now so I can't say what it will look like after a few years of some fading paint though.

love the denim. My bike is kinda dirty and it looks great that way. I have very little shiny surfaces on my olive drab bike.

I agree with all of the above. Very easy to keep clean but looks great dirty. Scratches don't stand out either.

Speaking to a guy who works at a Harley stealership he was telling me that the Denim paint job is designed to mark and fade just like a pair of denims, but because of this the paint work is not covered by warranty.

I saw Denim Owners--Holy Crap--I thought more people would have responded. I am sure we all have at least one pair of jeans!

The denim black is a very nice color, no regrets on mine at all. Use a little protect all on it and it looks fantastic.
