I always get really nervous when starting my bike after a winter project. Too many things done and not tested with a ride.

Both oils in? Battery full charge? Nuts and bolts all final tightened? I do a walk around and actually touch each thing. One time i did a walk around and just convinced myself everything was good; lost a loose muffler support bolt.

Next i check the running lights and turn signals; then the head light and brake light. Feels good if at least all the lights work.

Then i crank the engine with the starter motor, but the plugs out. Oh good, that works. Good sign.

Before going on the road i run the bike up and down the driveway checking the clutch and brake operation. Whooo-Hooo!

Then just around the block and back home to have another walk around. Then off for a ride.
