so does a regulator for a genny work on an alternator?
What are you talking about? Where you came from is gone, where you thought you were going to weren't never there, and where you are ain't no good unless you can can get away from it.
My IH had an alternator conversion when I bought it, but it wouldn't charge the battery. Turns out, the cheap foreign made regulator was the problem. The alternator itself was still good. If you go with the alternator conversion, you may want to consider an American made regulator. They cost twice as much to start with, but only if the foreign made one does cr*p out on you.
I totally agree! What model(s) regulator do you recommend as a replacement? Do you know how many amps this V-Twin conversion kit puts out?
