Sun HD
For you Colorado guys (at least metro Denver area) I wanted to pass on my experience today at Sun HD in Thornton.
I took my Roadster in today for the 10k service. I didn't buy this bike from them but I have purchased others there. It was like going home again when I walked in, everybody very friendly, asking how I've been, how the bike is doing, how my sons are.
After getting the service squared away I went back into the showroom and just drooled, er I mean, looked over the new bikes (again). One of the sales guys, Steve, saw me oogling the Fat Bob. I told him I'm not in any position to buy but I really liked that bike. He asked if I wanted to take it for a spin. Hell Yeah! (I tried another one a few weeks ago but couldn't go very far), this time he just said "have fun"! Oh my, I definitely know what my next bike will be.
All this time I was waiting for my older son to come pick me up as I knew I'd have to leave my bike there most of the day. Well he got tied up with some Army business longer than expected & couldn't do it. The service writer, Mat, offered up a ride from one of the other guys. I live about 20 miles away and that didn't matter.
Got a call a couple of hours ago that I was good to go, my son was able to take me back & there sat my Sporty, all cleaned and ready for the ride home. Got back as the rain clouds were building, perfect timing.
End of the story, here is a place that still knows what customer service means and how to hold on to their customers. When the time comes to get another bike I know where I'll be spending my money.

Thats good to hear. I tend to stay away from the dealers, but its always good to know where the good ones are if I ever do need anything.

Sun nearly always gets every bit of my service. Bought both my bikes from them, and my girlfriend just bought a Kawasaki Ninja from the non-Harley side of the dealership. Love 'em.

I just got an email about a job interview in Denver. I would hate to relocate from Texas, but a job is a job, and if it pays well, atleast I have a good dealership to visit.

Right on Doc45!! Very cool that you take the time to right about you great experience with your dealership. Most love to write about a bad experience but there are few that actually take the time and write about a good experience. If you like the service you recieved at the dealership then may I suggest you also let the managment know because Im sure they would love to hear your story as well. If you are wondering ,no I dont work at your dealership but I do work at one and we love to hear when we are doing something right.

That is a good thing to hear. I have been there to get a couple of items before, but they pretty much let me alone, which is what I generally want when drooling.
Yeah, I wanna look, but not buy. Yet....
Just remember, salesman, that I am a future customer, though. Let me pay off this Sportster first!

We're not Texas, but we have some good points! Not as humid, good sunshine, GREAT rides in the mountains. You might like it...
