no more foo foo's at NOSPARTS
Nosparts.com ran out of foo foo valves so I guess it is either the KrankVent, the Doherty, or the Feuling positive vent systems.
anybody use these???? the doherty and the feuling are about 80 bucks on sale right now at dennis kirk, the krankvent is about 100
all for a simple reed valve

Foo foo valves were only used on '77 and '78 model years. Your profile indicates you have earlier Ironheads that have timed breather valves on the oil pumps. A bit confused here....

OK, I understand now. The valves do come up on Ebay frequently from one source so you might watch for a little while before committing to another breather style.

There's got to be one laying around a dealer somewhere, gathering dust. Check the parts locator...

If all else fails you can machine an aluminium plug with a 5/8" hole in it. The actual flapper valve is made from some 30 -32 guage (~0.010" thick) SS sheet metal with an ear to accept the two small hold down screws.
With an ever so slight bend near the base of the ear the flapper will stay against the plug's hole and yet lift when the crankcase pressure starts to rise.
As I recall some styles of brake calipers have a thin SS shim that sits between the inboard brake pad and the piston - it may be just the ticket for the flapper part.
Cheers;

http://www.chicagoharley.com/shop/ad...633-77&x=0&y=0 shows it listed. Whether or not it is in current inventory is entirely another question.
