missfire/studder?
i have noticed that at steady rpms, not high, but more than idle under load that my engine studders slightly and sounds as if its missfiring on a cylinder. doesnt happen when i give it a fair amount of gas just when im in say 3rd gear at 30 mph and holding steady. anyone have experience with this?

needle adjustment
Sounds like you need to adjust the needle to get a slightly richer mixture. It's probally going lean on you during the transition from pilot to main jet. Assuming the needle is stock and has not been modified.
